Who am I?

First of all, I am interested in working with you to create new comfortable, beautiful and sustainable footwear.

I have been making woolen shoes for more than 20 years.

Through these years I have established 2 production facilities, designing my own products and sold them online and B2B.

First I established Glerups together with my parents. Next I founded Betterfelt, and last I co-founded Wool2fit.

It was in fact my mother who got me into the business. She started felting the wool from my daddy’s sheep, and it resulted in a woolen felted boot, which became very popular between friends. This inspired my mother to make a living from woolen felted house shoes. However she was not able to manufacture more than 2 pairs a day, felting by hand, so the family spent a few years trying to solve this challenge. When my mother found out how to shrink the wool around the last using a tumbler with hot steam, everything took off pretty fast.

We formed the company in 2003, and when we parted in 2007 the company was profitable and manufacturing on its own facility in Romania.

We worked extremely hard, and I guess we simply wore each other up, so the parting was pretty painful. However all wounds are healed today. The company is successfully run by my brother and the sales director that I hired back in 2004.

Since the beginning I have dreamed of making more than just house shoes. Early on I realized that it is possible to inject a sole directly on the woolen upper. Betterfelt was manufacturing by hand on a local workshop, that I had founded in Kathmandu, Nepal. In this way I was responsible for making a profit in Nepal, in order to sustain my employees. Thus I was importing more shoes than I sold during the first years of Betterfelt. The sales was actually going up steadily, but unfortunately I was not blessed with the luck (or skills) to become profitable and in 2020 Betterfelt went bankrupt.

I was lucky to become a founding partner of Wool2fit, which we launched in November 2023. Again the plan was to build on the known concept of high quality woolen house shoes, and then invest the profit in the next generation. Unfortunately my investor changed his mind, and focus to something else, and cut his losses, just 2 months after the launch.

So here I am, with a lot of experience and know how, and a lot of ideas and plans that are now carefully and repeatedly calculated.
I have invented some new efficiency improvements, which is now pending a patent.
I started designing in Blender in 2022, and some of the results you can see on this site. I have never given up on my dream to develop modern manufacturing of footwear from wool and natural rubber.

I still believe that this will be the most cost effective way to manufacture footwear. More importantly I believe it will be the most comfortable footwear ever created. And; I also believe, that when our designers learn the process, it will be the most beautiful footwear ever created.

So I am looking for people who will share my dream and contribute by joining my project.

I need customers to launch their first line of truly sustainable footwear.
I need talented designers to start designing woolen shoes.
I need skilled coders to develop new software.
I need engineers to build production facilities.
I need marketeers to help sell our products and services.
I need Lawyers to take care of the legal stuff.
I need a financial officer to manage the money stuff.
I need investors to help fund the start up.
